Raymond Goldie brings extensive industry experience to Salman Partners, including more than 20 years as a mining analyst covering non-precious and precious metals and fertilizer companies. Ray has worked for several investment dealers, including Richardson Greenshields for sixteen years as a mining analyst. Ray holds a B.Sc. in Geology from Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand, an M.Sc. in Geology from McGill University, and a Ph.D. from Queens University. The topic of his Ph.D. thesis was the geology of the Flavrian and Powell Plutons, a suite of Archean rocks in Abitibi, Quebec. His identification of these plutons as feeders for the volcanoes and heat engines for the mineral deposits of the Noranda district has been supported by several decades of subsequent studies.

Ray also holds a Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Toronto
