Lisa Newey brings to Salman Partners nine years experience in the financial markets, in North America and abroad. Previously a Global Sector Marketer with UBS Warburg’s Global Basic Materials team in London, U.K., Lisa was ranked the #1 specialist salesperson in both the Paper & Forest Products and Building & Construction sectors in Thomson Extel’s 2003 European Client Survey. Prior to her move to London in 2001, Lisa covered the Canadian forestry sector as an equity research analyst with Morgan Stanley’s top-ranked global forest products team. Lisa started her career in the financial industry with CIBC Wood Gundy’s Paper & Forest products research team, following eight years in the engineering and construction field. Lisa is a registered Professional Engineer, holds a BSc in Engineering (Civil) and a Masters in Business Administration – both from the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada.
